Master Data Modules
The master data management is organised in various modules, each covering data for a specific field of business. This allows the user rights management to grant individual users access to data required exactly for their area of operations. The master data modules are:
General: General master data |
FIS: Flight-related master data |
Billing: Master data for service recording and invoicing |
Contracts: Contract-related master data |
Price Formula: Master data for service pricing |
Workflow: Master data workflow |
Generally, all data recorded in a master data module is used in operative software modules or other master data modules. The data is either made available in pull-down menus or entered automatically during certain processes.
Example 1: In the master data module Contracts, all services to be offered are defined in a service catalogue. These are available in the operative module Contract for the creation of service contracts and in the operative module Service for the recording of services provided for customers.
Example 2: Another set of data recorded in the master data module Contracts are the basic prices for services. Whenever a specific service provided for a customer is selected in the service recording under Service, this price is automatically provided as a default value, which can be changed manually if necessary (e.g. for granting a percentage for cancellation).
Certain master data is predefined in the core software itself and cannot be changed in the common user interface. For example, the user access rights management Rights comes with a default pull-down menu for privileges. Changes to such predefined data records can only be made in cooperation with a contact person of the topsystem company.
