Creation and Management of Contracts

This chapter explains the basic processes of contract creation and management, describing the basic functions of each available table. Details concerning the individual tables and their specific functions are described in the successive chapters.

The following tables are available for the creation and management of contracts:

The table Contract lists all existing contracts with their core data and is also used to create new ones. After marking (i.e. left-clicking on) a newly-created contract, you can switch to the dependent table Contract -> Contract Items. Here, individual services can be added, edited and deleted.

It is possible to adapt a contract to specific conditions – e.g. the prices and services included in a handling contract can be adapted for different aircraft types, prices for services included in a contract can be modified if provided on bank holidays etc. This is done with so-called 'price configurations' under Contract, which can be used to define a variety of conditions and corresponding contract variants. Technically, for each contract a freely definable number of price configurations can be created in the dependent table Contract -> Price Configurations. In a second step, all conditions for each specific 'price configuration' to become applicable can be defined in the dependent table Price Configurations -> Rules. Thus, for example, a price configuration can be defined to be applicable only for specific aircraft at a special price etc. Finally, the table Price Configurations -> Contract Items can be used to define which services from a global contract are valid for a specific price configuration. A more detailed introduction about price configurations can be found in chapter The Table Contract -> Contract Items -> Price Configurations.

A lot of basic data and settings for the contract management are defined in the master data module Contracts. This includes, for example, customers and their data, contract types, references to print templates for contracts etc. The master data is usually made available for the actual operative contract management under Contract in pull-down menus.
