The Operational Software Modules
All operative modules are directly connected to the central data management core described above. The individual modules are composed according to individual field of business which they cover, e.g.:
Management of service and handling contracts |
Seasonal flight scheduling (optional) |
Daily flight scheduling |
Planning and recording of handling services |
Capturing and invoicing of services |
SITA message interpretation and editing (optional) |
This modular structure has the advantage of allowing a custom-tailored software installation precisely matching each company's business requirements. Any later expansions are also facilitated by the integrative approach.
All modules are capable of exchanging and sharing data for further processes. For example, the module Contract provides data from handling contracts directly for the planning and recording of handling services under Service. From here, the service data is then forwarded for invoicing processes in Billing.
Optionally, communication with external data sources for the modules can also be provided by the message broker. This allows the import and export of data like, for example, the constant updating of flight schedule information in Flights from an external flight schedule message system (e.g. SITA).
The concept of the central database also offers the advantage that all master data is recorded and managed in one single entity, from where it is available to all software and users without redundancies or ambiguities.
