The Module SFP Import

This sub-module provides the functionality of importing seasonal flights schedules by means of an upload tool especially developed for this matter. It is an optional add-on for customers who have licensed the module Seasonal Flightplan, where seasonal flight schedules are being created and edited.

Instead of entering the flights manually directly into the system, this upload tool allows to do the following:

  1. Upload a complete flight season, e.g. winter season, or a part of it, beforehand of the beginning of the same.

  2. Upload additions or modifications of an already existing season.

Every time an import is to be executed, the following steps need to be done:

  1. Create a new line by clicking the button Create a New Object images/download/thumbnails/286687934/2020-08-04_12_22_02-Window.png or by duplicating (Duplicate object images/download/thumbnails/286687934/2020-08-04_12_24_16-Window.png ) an existing one.

  2. Enter the Station for which you want to introduce flights by using the available pull-down menu.

  3. Save the record by clicking images/download/thumbnails/286687934/2020-08-04_12_24_42-Window.png . After having saved, the field Importfile will display automatically the name of the file that will be imported.

Once the preparations for the import transaction have been completed, the record may be selected and the button Release images/download/thumbnails/286687934/2021-03-22_12_23_09-EPG_GHS___SFP_Import___Import.png may be clicked. The state Release will automatically appear in the field State. In a background process, the system will then upload the file displayed in the field Importfile.

In the case that flights that already exist in the system are included in the import file, these flights are not imported, so no duplicated flights will be encountered in the database. The system checks that the combination of station, airline, leg (A/D) and flight number, is unique. If not, the import yields a database error.
