The Table Aircraft
In this table, master data regarding individual aircraft worldwide is recorded. The most important characteristic here is the aircraft registration.
Aircraft registrations are key information for any flight scheduling process as is used by the system to identify each individual aircraft. Furthermore, additional data recorded here for each aircraft is used for other processes, e.g. maximum take-off weight (MTOW), the owner etc. might be relevant for operational, contractual and billing purposes. Another information which is relevant for operational processes (e.g. cleaning, bussing) is the seat capacity.
Depending on the individual system installation, some data fields might be imported from external aircraft registration management systems and cannot be edited in the application.
Following data can be recorded for each aircraft:
Registration code of the aircraft. This code is used for a unique identification. |
From this pull-down menu, the correct aircraft type is selected. The available types are defined in the master data table Aircraft Type. |
Aircraft owner is selected from this pull-down menu. The list of owners is composed from the entries in the table Customer in the master data module Contracts. |
Noise class of an aircraft. Noise classes are defined in the corresponding master data table Noise Chapter. |
Home base of the aircraft (airport) as IATA code. The entries available in this pull-down list are defined in the table Airport in the master data module General. |
Total number of seats available in the aircraft |
Maximum take-off weight of the aircraft (in kg) |
Reference to an already defined configuration of the aircraft type. The selection is pre-filtered: Only choices matching aircraft type and/or owner appear in the selection list. |
Propulsion type of the aircraft. The entries in this list are defined in the master data table Propulsion. |
Remark in regard to an aircraft |
Data records marked as "Deleted" will not be listed in corresponding pull-down menus anymore. |
Name of the last user who changed the data record (filled automatically) |
Date and time when the data record was changed last (filled automatically) |
