The Table Rotations -> Route

The table Route is used to enter the route of the rotation. A route is defined by waypoints (airports) and their sequence, each waypoint has a type to highlight its role along the route, such as ORIGIN, OWN_AIRPORT, VIA or DESTINATION. The direction of the route is from origin to destination: The own station has always the value "0", the previous airport has always the value "-1", the waypoint before would have "-2" etc.

By default (upon creation of a rotation) this table contains three entries:

  • ORIGIN

  • OWN_AIRPORT (airport equals the station for which this rotation is defined)

  • DESTINATION

Origin and Destination can either be entered in this table (field Airport) or in the main table Rotations (fields ORG and DST). The corresponding fields are updating each other when the entry is stored.

Vias can be added by selecting the line (representing a waypoint) before which the via is to be inserted. Note: It is neither possible to insert a via before the origin nor is it possible to insert a via after the destination.

Example: In case a via shall be inserted between the origin and the own station, the line with the Waypoint Type Own Airport shall be selected. Then the via (a new line with Waypoint Type Via) is inserted by pressing the button Create a New Object.

Deleting vias can be done by using the standard mechanism of selecting a line and then pressing the button Delete.

In case the selected rotation in the master table Rotations is a single-leg arrival or departure, only the applicable waypoint types are shown in the table Route, e.g. there will not be a waypoint DESTINATION for a single-leg arrival as there is no departing leg. The own station is always considered the destination for all arrivals and it is always considered to be the origin for all departing flights.

The International/Domestic indication of the previous airport (for the arrival leg) or next airport (for the departure leg) determines the flight types (FlightTypeA/FlightTypeD) of the rotation.

The Table Route -> Load Data

The table Load Data provides the means to enter the load data for each waypoint along the route. To enter data ensure that the correct waypoint is selected in the table Route. The various kinds of loads (such as PAX Total) are described in the table further below. Each kind of load may have different values depending on whether the value applies to unloading/debarking, loading/embarking, transit, total inbound (at touch down) or total outbound (at take-off). These different "views" on the kind of load are represented by one line for each of these Load Types:

  • Total Inbound

Sum of load figures for Local Disembark and Transit

  • Local Disembark

Load figures for unloading/disembarking

  • Transit

Load figure for transit (remains on board)

  • Local Embark

Load figures for loading/embarking

  • Total Outbound

Sum of load figures for Local Embark and Transit
