The Table Countries

This table covers aviation-related data about countries worldwide, including the ICAO and ISO coding. The country data is used to complement the data about airports, to create country-specific contract price configurations and to generate country-related statistics.
Following data is recorded for each country:

  • ID:*

Internal definition of the country (ID = Identifier). This ID is used as a reference code by the software and must be unique. It is recommended to use one of the international country codes here.

  • Name:*

Name of country in plain text

  • ICAO:

International 3-letter code for the country according to ICAO standard

  • ISO:

International 2-letter code for the country according to ISO standard

  • Intern./Domestic:

Allows you to assign a country to a specific grouping, i.e. international or domestic (for EU countries, an additional option for EU countries is available). This can be relevant for billing purposes (e.g. for a French airline, a flight to French-Guyana might be treated as a Domestic flight with the corresponding financial consequences).
